“Five,” the most useful and most harmful products

The study, which aims to identify the impact of changes in the diet on body weight in the long term, U.S. scientists have found five of the most secure products for the figure – and also was named the top five most harmful.

The study was conducted over 20 years involving 120 000 people. As it turned out, the least conducive to weight gain, vegetables, whole grains, fruits, nuts and yogurt. Most dangerous figures found fried potatoes, chips, soft drinks, red meat and processed meat products – sausages, semi-finished products, etc.

Of course, this does not mean that eating nuts can count contributes to weight loss: while unsaturated fats found in nuts, and help control weight, calories in them quite a lot. And the sweet yogurt slimming better not to get involved: due to the high sugar content, they are closer in properties to soda harmful than useful for low-fat kefir. But whole-grain cereals and in fact the figure is not harmful.
